In short
- ConfirmCue is only for appointment confirmations, reminders and answers.
- Text only customers who agreed to hear from you about their appointments.
- No marketing, no health information, nothing illegal or harmful.
- If something breaks these rules, we may pause sending and work with you to fix it.
This summary helps you read the page; the sections below are what counts.
1. What it is for
ConfirmCue sends messages about real appointments between a business and its customer: the booking, confirmations, reminders, changes, cancellations, the day’s arrival time, follow-ups about that appointment and answers to the customer’s texts. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everything sent through ConfirmCue, including what your team types.
2. Only people who agreed
- Text a customer only after they agreed to get texts from your business about their appointment, and record how and when (the app keeps it on each customer).
- Never use bought, rented or shared lists of numbers, or numbers found online.
- When someone replies STOP, they get no more texts. Do not try to get around it, for example by adding the number again under another name.
- Do not text someone just because they are a guest on a calendar event.
3. No marketing
Messages through ConfirmCue may not:
- advertise, offer discounts, announce sales or new products, or ask for referrals;
- be sent to many customers at once about something other than their appointments;
- ask for reviews, unless the customer separately agreed to that.
4. No health information
ConfirmCue is not built for health care. Do not use it to send or store protected health information under HIPAA, and do not use it as a health care provider, health plan or their business associate. Do not put diagnoses, treatments, medications or test results in appointment titles, notes or messages. We do not sign HIPAA business associate agreements.
5. Content and businesses not allowed
Do not use ConfirmCue for, or send messages about:
- anything illegal, or a business that is not legal where it operates;
- cannabis, tobacco or vaping, alcohol, firearms, gambling, adult content, or high-interest loans, debt collection or credit repair, which the phone carriers do not allow for this kind of texting;
- hate, threats, harassment, or anything violent or deceptive;
- pretending to be another person or business, or hiding who is sending the message;
- asking customers for passwords, full card numbers or government ID numbers by text;
- links that hide where they lead, or that lead to harmful or misleading sites;
- emergencies, or anything where a missed message could hurt someone.
6. Using the service fairly
- Do not try to get into another business’s data, another account or our systems, or test their security without our written permission.
- Do not overload the service, get around its limits, or use automated tools on it beyond the features we offer.
- Do not resell ConfirmCue or let people outside your business use your account.
- Do not upload viruses or other harmful code.
7. What we do if a rule is broken
We may look at how the service is used to protect customers and the texting numbers of all businesses. If something breaks this policy, we may pause sending for the business at once, remove the content, or, for serious or repeated problems, close the account, as our Terms of Service describe. We tell you what happened and, when we can, how to fix it.
To report a message that breaks these rules, write to support@confirmcue.com with the number it came from and when.
